TO THINE OWN SELF BE TRUE
In the entertainment industry and in life
we constantly are faced with dilemmas,
disappointments,
rejections,
and
questions. There are also times and
moments of victory, success and
overcoming defeats. However, everything
that happens to us has purpose. When
negative things happen in our lives,
instead of locking ourselves up in our
cage of fears and crying over past
heartaches, embarrassment and failures;
lets learn to treat them as our teachers.
They will become our tools in both selfimprovement and towards success.
Building self-esteem leads to selfimprovement,
self-assessment
and
determination if we are responsible for who
we are, what we have and what we do. Like a
flame that gradually spreads like a brush fire
from inside and out, when we develop our
self-esteem, we take control of our mission,
our values and self-discipline. So how do you
start putting up the building blocks of selfesteem?
Be positive. Be content. Be appreciative.
Take an opportunity to compliment.
Continuously find positive things about
yourself and find your “happy place” within.
Being content doesn’t mean that you’re
satisfied staying where you are in life. Content
means being happy in the life you’re living,
grateful for what you have and enjoying your
life. Thus, be content, but not satisfied.
It’s always a wonderful feeling to look at
the things and happenings in your life
now, recognizing that those are the things
you once wished for. There’s a quote that
says, “When the student is ready, the
teacher will appear.” Our parents, school
teachers, friends, colleagues, officemates, Happy people don’t just accept change, they

we open our doors for self-improvement,
we increase our advances on the road of
success.

but being positive, and staying positive is
a choice. Building self-esteem and
drawing lines for self-improvement is a
choice, not a rule or a talent.
