Food Crisis in South Sudan
Since 2016, South Sudan has been struck by a severe food crisis, caused by drought
and the ongoing civil conflict. Numerous people have already fled to neighbouring
countries including Ethiopia and Uganda. E2C interviewed three members of the
IOB community, namely alumnus Lemessa Demie Anbessa, Prof. Emeritus Robrecht
Renard and the South Sudanese IOB student Kujiek Ruot Kuajien to shed their light on
the causes and consequences of the crisis.
