Time Crunch

Fitting everything into your life has likely never been harder, but a paper calendar might be just the answer you are looking for. While there's nothing wrong with using a calendar app, an old-school approach could be the secret weapon you need.

Before midterms, often everything seems easy. Classes get off to a slow start, snow days get tossed into the schedule, and you coast through days and weeks without much difficulty. You might have had one test or one paper, but so far assignments have been slow-paced and minimal.

After midterms, usually everything gets hurried and stressful. Many of your instructors speed up, trying to cram in all the material that got delayed by earlier snow. Even if that doesn’t happen, the class still gets harder as you get beyond the introductory material. Also, you may find your early grades in a class weren’t as good as you’d hoped, so now you’re scrambling to improve your grades and keep up with suddenly accelerated course material.

It’s even trickier to handle the second half of the semester if you’re also trying to juggle family and work obligations at the same time. Organization can be the key to getting to Finals Week in good shape, without letting too many other responsibilities crash down around you.

To get your life organized, make a calendar.

As due dates crowd on top of each other – and on top of other commitments – it’s easy to start

Desk calendars are a great option as well!
