Stats - 114km, 22 lt/100km average speed 22km/hr.
No wind this morning, packed up and left in good time. Saw a family of three camels before Well 46
where I washed some split diesel out of my jeans. Then to well 47 and on to the spectacular view from
Mt Ford. On to Well 48 past the spectacular hills surrounding the Breaden Valley. Camp was set at
Breaden Pool and Graham and Laurice left for the next well. We walked to Godfrey Tank and Dinibarri
Rockholes before dinner and a game of cards.
Wednesday 15 August 2018, CSR Day 15
Stats - 168 kms, 15.1lt/100kms, average 29km/hr.
Packed up and headed for Well 49 passing a hill called Chainman’s Hat, then onto visit Graham and
Laurice at their camp site. Then onto Well 50 where we met a group of 4 vehicles heading south. Well 51
which is the last well and it had a defunct wind mill spinning. Finally, a long drive over some corrugated
roads to Stretch Lagoon for a couple of nights.
