Woke up to a horrible sand storm and packing up was a nightmare. After we drove off we were back
into sand dunes with many corrugations between the dunes. We drove past the Rock Breakaway where
people had unfortunately dumped large quantities of rubbish over the cliff and the we visited Well 39
and viewed Michael Tobin and Mungkututu graves. Well 40 was in disrepair and on to Well 41 where
there was a reconditioned well, so we decided to camp. Cloths washing, minor repairs and showers took
place.
Monday 13 August 2018, CSR Day 13
157 km, 19.1 lt/100km, average 22km/hr.
Egg and bacon for breakfast and the first half of the day spent driving up and down interesting sand
dunes then in the afternoon we traversed Tobin and Guli Lakes. We visited Wells 41, 42, 43 and 44, then
onto a very late finish at Well 45 where we set camp.
