Thursday 2 August 2018, CSR Day 2 Stats -141km, 14.2 lt/100km, average 25km/hr. We had a torturous night with wind and rain. Packing up was slow with time taken to allow the tents to dry. The trip leader drove pass Well 4b and morning tea was at a very cold Well 6 which had been restored by the WA G9 Tractor Club. On through to Well 6 which look like a great camping spot with plenty of shade, a working well and toilets. Then we pressed onto Well 7 where we had pies for lunch and then onto Well 10 where we setup camp, refuelled and lit a campfire. Friday 3 August 2018, CSR Day 3 Stats -198km, 16lt/100km average 26 km/hr. The fire was still alight when I rose, we packed up quickly as we had a long way to travel. The drive around the lakes was interesting as we left the rugged track and drove on the smooth dry lake beds of White Lake and Lake Aerodrome. The road was rougher than the previous two days with plenty of corrugations. Towards the end of the day we were greeted by the spectacular escarpment of the Durba Ranges before we entered the Durba Springs Campsite for the evening, a great camp spot with soft grass and water pools. Saturday 4 August 2018, CSR Day 4 We had a lay day washing clothes, showering, looking at the Aboriginal rock art and fixing the trip leader’s fridge slide.
