Charging. 2 x USB chargers with 4 outlets with one directly wired to the auxiliary battery so we can charge accessories without the ignition on.

Ilana Seat Covers. Modified so they allow the splits seats at the back to be folded independently.

Back

Home made storage. I made these with ply, aluminum angle, T-nuts and covered with material from Clark Rubber. I use Front Runner plastic storage boxes which are based on South African ammo boxes and these are very sturdy. They are available from Opposite Lock, now owned by Autobahn. Wayco Fridge CFX65 and Fridge slide. Bolted to the shelving unit. The things I like about the new Waeco CFX series is that reviews say they are a lot more reliable than the older ones and the compressor is at the front, so one only has to pull the fridge out six inches to fully expose all the vents and get better air circulation.

Anderson Plugs. I have three outlets at the back of the car. I chopped off the cigarette lighter socket on everything in the car as they kept dropping out, especially the fridge, and fitted Anderson Plugs to everything.

Rear Door Modifications. This modification allow us to use the rear tray for cooking.

Underneath

Breathers. Fitted to both diffs and gearbox. The gearbox one is hard to fit.

40mm lift. By Opposite Lock.

Coil-Rite Air Bags. I have had problems with the valves leaking, but this is easily fixed. They lift the back of the car and level it when I have the car loaded or the Avan hitched. The Avan has a very short a frame and does not allow the use of the level rides I currently own.

Sidesteps. I replaced the flimsy Mitsubishi ones with Bushskinz4x4 aftermarket ones.

Bash Plates. These all must be by far the worst designed 4WD accessories, here are some of the issues I have come up against:

The nuts heads are exposed and are not protected from rocks. They are bent when one hits rocks and get hard to remove. I have welded reo rod in front of some nut heads to protect them.

The Ironman gearbox bash plate has their logo cut through the plate at the wrong place and this weakens the plate near a fixing point.

Some of the plates do not overlap, so my gearbox plate was ripped off when something caught it at the front, so I have welded a second plate over the join to prevent this happening again.

The threaded holes provided by Mitsubishi to attached bash plates too are easy to strip, so I have inserted studs in some of the Mitsubishi threaded holes and I now have less of a chance of stripping them and are easier to replace.

The Bushskinz 4x4 front bash plate does not protect the intercooler and there is insufficient clearance. Later ones are better designed with much more clearance. After doing a second intercooler and working out the issue I will have to get the angel grinder and welder out again.
