PAJERO CLUB GENERAL MEETING October 17, 2018 Meeting Opened by President Neil Phillips: 7:30pm • • • • • Welcomed members and explained the meeting format. Introduced Robyn Burke and explained she will help new members. Celebrated Glenn Thomas being the first member of our club to win the Outback Challenge. Introduced Klaus for his Aussie Disposals presentation. Introduced Rod Chapple for his presentation on the Canning Stock Route. Presentations: Aussie Disposals, Klaus – Klaus recently had the opportunity to go to Portland, Oregon to meet Keith Leatherman. Klaus explained that Keith was quite a humble man, and Klaus had a tour of the factory where the Leatherman multi tool is made. The Aussie Disposals Gala day is on the 8 th of December. Canning Stock Route high points, Rod Chapple – Rod explained that the first thing you should know about the CSR is that there are very many corrugations, so many in fact that he had to replace his rear shock absorbers half way through the trip. He recommended the Canning Stock Route and mentioned to leave time for is the permits. Membership: Trip & Social: • Ed mentioned the trips held over the past month and upcoming trips and events. He thanked trip leaders who ran trips in the last month. DTU: • Listed the courses that were run last month and congratulated all participants who attended the courses. • A certified chainsaw course will be run March 23 rd , 24 th . • All future courses can be found on the DTU website and in the magazine. Shop: • Detailed items that are for sale, encouraged all members to get club items to help support the club. Editor: • Explained that messages larger than 10Mb will not reach the Editor email.
