General Meeting Opened by President Neil Phillips : 7:30pm

Welcomed members and explained the meeting format.
Introduced Robyn Burke and explained she will help new members.
Introduced Paul Griffiths and Ryan George for their Narva presentation.
Presentation on Narva lighting:
Paul Griffiths spoke of the evolution of vehicle lighting over the last four decades and
showed examples of the improvements in both lighting strength and breadth of the light
beams. A lively discussion session followed.
Christmas Party :
Suzanne Marazzato is organising the Christmas Party on 9 th December and is still accepting
names of those who wish to attend.
Supper break:
A longer break during the meeting allowed for a mid-meeting supper, viewing of the
presentation and display material, and sales through the Shop. The kitchen staff reported
favourably on the new meeting format that let them be more involved in the meeting and to
finish earlier than normal.

President:
The Committee will be holding its annual strategy day in early February 2019. We will be
discussing longer term opportunities and threats for the Club, looking carefully for any
adverse signs ahead, and positioning us for growth and success in the future. All Members
were invited to list suggestions of what needs to be retained, and what needs to change, for
the Committee to discuss. A collection box for ideas will be at the next meeting.
Membership :
Ten-year awards to Frank Amato, and Peter & Marg Cogdon. 20yr awards to Ralph & Pam
Longley. New members mentioned were Chris Wright, and Rod Phillips & Cath Crock. The
2018 Membership Directories are now available; please destroy old ones properly.
Trip & Social :
Ed mentioned the trips held over recent months. There are a series of trips planned for
January 2019 and some people starting their planning for mid-2019 trips. He thanked recent
trip leaders and re-affirmed his offer of support for those wishing to lead their first trip soon.
