Black Snake NYLON Recover tow Strops.
Over the last few months the Pajero Driver training unit has been trialing a new type of
recovery strap called a RECOVERY STROP.
The Black Snake Recovery Strop is an Australian – Victorian made strop made by G.L.B. Pty Ltd
and John Johnson is the National Sales Manager.
Black Snake Nylon Recovery Strops are ideal for dragging skid mounted equipment and safe
recovery of commercial agricultural and 4WD vehicles as used by 4WD enthusiasts from all
different codes.
The Nylon fibers are encased in a rubber coating protecting them from the elements that
overtime breakdown the load bearing fibers, this design makes the Black Snake far more
durable than fibre ropes, synthetic webbing or round slings or snatch straps as we call them.
Black Snake Nylon Recovery Strops are fitted with Australian Standard 1138 thimbles
embedded into the eyes and sized to fit standard connections.

I found the Strop a little heavier than a conventional snatch strap. That being considered
however I personally would like one of these between my car and another. If the Strop should
break there is no recoil, due to a low elongation of 4% recoil property It will just drop. (a great
feature in itself)
Custom made lengths are available from 4 to 20 meters and thicknesses made up from 10-400
tonnes break strength.
