Disclaimer - For all those who have been on a Tony
Saul trip (and there are many), will understand the
format and procedure that Tony's trips involve.
Example A., Tony will in much detail, brief the
group on the days activity and route to be taken.
Tony will then gain acceptance from the group and
then, off we go.
There's just one slight hic-up! As a professional trip
leader, Tony has, and will use the leadership wild
card to whenever necessary, change the plan. This
normally will happen within the first 10 minutes or
intersection - which ever comes first. This not only
makes for an interesting trip, but also ensures a
great variety over and above any original plan.
End of disclaimer.
Wednesday 15th May - Day 1.
Our meeting place and time was the Aireys Inlet
Lighthouse on the Great Ocean Road 10:00am for a
10:30 departure. Due to an accident just out of the
Melba Tunnel, we (Ralph & Walid) were running
late, arriving at 10:30 at the arranged 'lower car
park' below the lighthouse. First observation - We
saw no other Pajero Club vehicles in the car park!
2nd observation - no Pajero club members on the
200mtr walk up to the Lighthouse. Finally -
Kenton's smiling face appears from behind the
lighthouse. Seems there are 2 lower car parks - one
each side of the lighthouse!
