PRESIDENT’S REPORT

June 2018

Hi all

Thanks to ARB for the presentation last month on their Linx system. Read more details in the minutes. Also thankyou to all the members who donated to support the Salvation Army at the last meeting.

We have a number of 10, 20 and 30 year memberships to be presented at the June meeting. I would encourage as many as possible to turn up to share the achievements of those reaching these milestones.

Aussie Disposals held their annual gala day at their warehouse where we manned a stand representing the Pajero 4WD Club as usual. Thankyou to those club members who helped out Alan Sellars with this. Our next show day will be the National 4x4 outdoors show to be held

Winter is upon us and some of the tracks have already been closed for the wet period. Track closures are available on the Parks Victoria Website (http://parkweb.vic.gov.au/safety/closures/seasonal-road-closures2) or a PDF version is available in TeamApp. If you haven’t already done so, log into TeamApp and search for the Pajero 4WD Club. There is a lot of club information available under ‘Documents’ and our calendar of activities is available there.

Memberships are now due for the 2018/2019 year. You would have received your renewal notice by now either individually by post or generically by email through TeamApp. Payment can be made at the meeting or via internet transfer as per the renewal notice.

We will need nominations from new committee members for the 2018/2019 year before the AGM which will be in August this year. All committee positions are open but several of the current committee members will not be re-nominating so we have vacancies which need to be filled. Please refer to the Club ByLaws in TeamApp documents for descriptions of each role and talk to the current committee person or myself if you consider there is a possibility that you may be available.

We require some volunteers to participate in a subcommittee regarding the future of this event. The subcommittee will report to the Pajero Club committee and is to determine if this event is to continue, the format and other significant decisions in regard to increasing participation and reporting. Please talk to me if you may be a candidate for this.

For those going, have fun on your long distance escapes from the Victorian winter and for the rest, why not participate in or post a local trip. Watch out for track closures and the slippery mud at this time of year

Regards

Stuart Gay
