EXCEED MAY 2017 May_Emag | Page 37
Drinks and nibbles were carried down
There were more birds than back in town
We ventured back to camp for more activities
For meals and hopefully more festivities
Ron kindly provided us with a taste of his gin
Hey this was better than taking asprin
Finally the good nights were said
We cleaned our teeth and went to bed
The only problem now l am stating
A bloody generator, its noise was grating
Sunday started with a breakfast
And Macca on the radio, which is a must
9.30. All were ready to again explore
The Tracks and Rivers we craved for more
Into Moama for fuel and for goodness sake
Brian craved for his daily fix of apple cake
We crossed the Murray for a tour
Of the back Tracks of Echuca
On we went to Torrumbarry Weir
The wall we walked with no fear
The fish ladder it is ever so clever
It lets the fish breed so theyré there forever
On to Masters Landing on the Murray
Had time to explore as there was no hurry
Carol in the door she stuck her head
What great excitement, a brass bed
In Gunpower Park we lunched on a river bend
Discussed countries problems, careful not to offend
Thunder in the distance, a few spots of rain
Rush to the vehicles a was a bit of a pain
A photo seemed a good idea
Synchronised driving be careful and steer
The river behind the bank was so steep
But all was okay, cause no one had a Jeep
The rain it then came while on a Track called River
From side to side all began to slide and to slither
This was when Andrew came into his own
Taking photos of us all busy airing down
Cohuna we were assured was the quick way home
