TRIP REPORTS
Once again we had an excellent group of Club members
along for this trip. We had a lot of fun and found some
good tracks. The weather was a good deal hotter this
year and had a Total Fire Ban on the Friday so we weren’t
able to go deep into the forest for safety reasons but
everyone excepted what we did do in good spirit. We
also had a lot of fun chasing the shade during fiveses and
into the evenings.
Congratulations are due to Grant & Kathy Cavenagh
(1651) on the unexpected arrival of their new
granddaughter on Saturday. Unfortunately they had to
cut their trip short so they could get home in time for the
birth.
Thanks to Fritz Suendermann for suggesting we use
Scrubby Creek track to go to Mt Pinnabar. We will
definitely be using that again.
The amount of track knowledge that is held by Club
Members is amazing.
We will be running this trip again next year but at a
different time. We like staying at the Colac Colac Caravan
Park but it is getting just too busy on the Australia Day
Week End. The weather can be (and was) very hot as
well. So for next year it will probably be held the first
week in March and will be from Monday to Friday. I will
give plenty of notice on Team App.
So thanks everyone for another memorable weekend.
