Turning Left onto Reillys rd and then right onto Reillys fireline was an easy drive, we then turned Left on Croziers Track and right down M and M track. M & M track was littered with large concrete chunks the whole way along and was disappointing to see someone had dumped their waste like this. We did a U turn and head back up the hill for a quick stop when i notices some smoke coming from Darren's engine bay. A large chunk of wood had wedged itself between the exhaust and chassis and was beginning to smolder! Luckily we caught it in time and we were on our way to Soil Pit track.
Soil Pit track was the track of the day, it was a challenging steep hill climb with some very large obstacles, the jeep with large clearance and tires made this section look easy. Diff lock and traction control would make this section much easier. Track rating Difficult in the dry.
It had been more than 15 years since my last trip to the Cowbaw so i didn't know what to expect. The tracks have all significantly degraded and clearly no longer maintained.
