The camp ground at Farina is exclusive and free to volunteers .
Please note that Jervious to Mungeranie is apprx . 1000 km . with no services . Both fuel and water for 10 days will need to be carried .
I also require all vehicles to have 2 spares .
Most days will only be 3 to 4 hours driving . The terrain is not over challenging but quite isolated . COSTS – ACCOMMODATION / CAMPING : Desert Pass $ 160 . 5 night s in caravan parks .

LOCATION / DESCRIPTION : Travel via Gunbarrel Hwy to Wiluna then north up the Canning Stock Route with lots of one and two night stops . Visit Wolfe Creek crater and return via the Tanami desert track to Alice Springs , then back to Melbourne . The trip is flexible and open to discussion but is designed to be no more than 32 – 33 days for the trip leader ( others may wish to make variations to the route and time to suit themselves ?). Interested parties will be involved in meetings to finalise the itinerary at the trip leaders house . There will be plenty of setting up and breaking down camps once we leave the bitumen . Some cash will be need to be carried in case of emergency as the “ outback ” can be unreliable with credit facilities , but should be ok . No trailers / campers as there is a section of the CSR that has a ban ! ( apparently from well 1 to well 9 )
