A cunning plan by two thus did evolve,
to follow the steps
of past pioneers ….so bold.
Burke and Wills expedition –
chosen as the plan,
following their journey
across this vast land.
Now the party was recruited
and a gathering date was made,
at Burke and Wills leaving point
appropriately, where their souls are laid.
So one and all did study the good book,
of Burke and Wills and the route they took.
Then the day soon came when we all gathered together,
but wait, there's 2 a' missing –
– now where’s Fred and Heather?
