M EET I NG M I NU TES MINUTES OF THE PAJERO 4WD CLUB GENERAL MEETING HELD AT GWBC WED 15th March 2017 Minutes of the Pajero 4WD Club of Victoria General Meeting Held at GWBC 17 May 2017 Open 7:30pm President Ralph Longley opened meeting - Reminder to all to purchase raffle tickets and make a donation to the salvation army - Visitors welcomed. - Thanks to kitchen staff - Emergency Exits presented on screen - Renewals are due. Trudi is awaiting for those ready to make payments. - Club plates idea was discussed. Requirements presented on screen. Registration is approximately $80 per year. Insurance companies discount club registration vehicles but there are conditions: only allowed to be used for 45 or 90 days per year, Log books need to be kept, etc. 7 hands were raised as interested people. Members believe it also applies to motorcycles. Speaker 1: Club has been supporting Red shield Appeal for 20 years. Fred Farrugia and Alan Morrisson spoke about the works of Salvation Army, especially homelessness, domestic violence and drug and alcohol issues. Pajero Club has donated over $30,000 over the years. Presentation of a plague was made to President, Ralph in appreciation of 20 years of support. $829 donated tonight from members, to be matched by the Club. Magazine: 53 pages in this edition. Thanks to Editors, Toni and Colin. Ralph summarised some of the things to look for in this edition. POTY (Person of the year) - Points are up a lot compared to last year. 567 tickets to be printed this year. This shows how much members are getting involved. Thanks to all. Trip reports, recipes, garage sales, challenge report, upcoming trips, last meeting presentation report, etc. Looking for people to participate in bowling night and bring-a-friend day. Announcement of a photo competition in the magazine. There will be winners for each magazine this year obtaining bragging rights and then a prize for the best three entries at the end of year, to be judged by the Editors.
