Grand Final Public Holiday On Sand Dunes. Portland Dune Buggy Club

LOCATION/DESCRIPTION: This trip is suitable for all members. We will be camping at the Portland Dune Buggy Club camping area, there is a cost per 4×4 vehicle
for the weekend that includes camping and driving on the sand dunes (Price is $50 per Vehicle). The camping area is suitable for tents, camper trailers and small
caravans. Most likely most members will be going down Friday. If you are traveling down Friday you will need to be ready to start the weekend’s driving by 1-00pm
Friday. We will be packing up Sunday lunchtime and returning home. The weekend will be spent driving and playing on the moving sand dunes visiting the local high
dunes and sights. Instruction on Sand driving techniques will be given Friday morning and again after lunch, followed by sand dune driving and fun. There is also a
great surf beach for fishing, kite flying, Swan Lake is close by.
MEETING ADDRESS: Meet at the Swan Lake coastal park Friday in time to be ready for the first official drive at 1-00pm. When you book in, a map of directions will
be supplied on how to get there. You can arrive any time Thursday afternoon after 3-00 pm or Friday morning. — At least one extra chainsaw will be needed to cut
firewood. If you want to come on this trip, e-mail me to book in, I will e-mail you the forms to be filled in. Then please write your Name Address Phone number Rego
Number etc on the forms, then enclose a cheque for the amount stated on the form, made out to the Portland Dune Buggy Club. EFT deposit is OK, but you must
attach a copy of the receipt to your forms. Money and forms must be returned to me ASAP as the first 10 member’s forms and money that I receive will be going on the
trip. All members attending must be booked in with the PDBC including PDBC members. No Money No Go. I will keep 2 or 3 members on the list as emergency’s.

APPROXIMATE DISTANCE: 900 to 1000km-approx round trip. Fuel available at Portland, Hamilton, Heywood. It is approx 90km round trip from Swan Lake
camping area to Portland, so fill up your fuel tank before you leave Portland, bring extra fuel if in doubt

ACCOMMODATION: Tents, Camper, Van
IF THIS IS AN OVERNIGHT ACTIVITY PROVIDE DETAILS: We will be base camping at the Portland Dune Buggy Club camping area. You will need to bring
drinking water and everything that you will require for 3 to 4 days. Water, flush toilets and a shower are at the camping area, but the water may not be suitable for
drinking. There will be a camp-fire each morning night for cooking and to socialize around in the evening. If someone has a 6×4 trailer for the collection of wood,
would be appreciated.
COSTS – ACCOMMODATION / CAMPING: $50-0 per 4×4 vehicle.

LOCATION/DESCRIPTION: Let’s help the RFDS. They’re having a gentle, social few days touring from Marysville to Echuca. Please see their website http://www.
drive4x4thedoc.com.au for further details. There is a donation and other costs involved to participate. Please register directly with them on their website if you are
interested.
They kick-off from Marysville for dinner on Wednesday 15 November with a meet and greet and head to Beechworth on Thursday, Corryong on Friday, Rutherglen
on Saturday and finish up in Echuca around lunchtime on Sunday 19 November. They will travel on backroads (not 4WD tracks!) to little known destinations and
enjoy friendship, conversation and some navigating
