PAJERO CLUB GENERAL MEETING June 19 th 2019
MINUTES
General Meeting at Glen Waverley Bowls Club
Opened by President Neil Phillips: 7:30pm
Welcomed members and explained the meeting format.
Talks: Nas Foscarini made a short presentation about the recent trip to Sambain Lodge near
Mt Tamboritha and driving in the snow.
Peter van Riel and Ralph Longley spoke about inspection of vehicles and some areas to be
aware of. They mentioned to have the vehicle regularly serviced, carefully inspect inside and
outside the vehicle including underneath. Note carefully the brakes, tyres, recovery points,
lights, cargo security, number plates, battery, fire extinguisher and bash plate.
Graham Halliburton gave a short update on the SW Queensland floods of early 2019 saying
that water had stopped flowing into Lake Eyre.

Apologies: the apologies were shown at the meeting and listed in the members’ sign in.
President: The Rules and Policies sub-committee is in the process of updating Policies and
members are welcome to have their input before these are finalised. It is not the intention to
change any Rules for the moment.
Temporary guest membership to join a trip as a passenger will cost $15 per year,
The AGM is being slightly redesigned so that elections are followed by supper.
All members are welcome to stand for the 2019-20 Committee or suggest their colleagues
for positions.
Membership: 45% of renewals are still outstanding. When you renew please remember to
provide membership details for bank transfers.
Welcome to new members, Roger and Georgia Shepherd.
Paul and Jennifer Hicks were recognised for 10-Year membership of the Club.
Membership cards can be collected upon renewing but will not be separately mailed out
Finances: Fees to 4 Wheel Drive Victoria are due in late June and will therefore be paid in
the 2018-19 financial year. This will mean two such payments in the one financial year which
will significantly affect the closing accounts for the year (but his will be a one-off event).
Treasurer David Diamond was available both before and during the meeting to answer any
questions about the finances.
