TRIP AND SOCIAL
REPORT 2019
Well what a 1 st year it has been as your Trip and Social Representative. The club has had
some amazing trips this year and not just 4 wheel driving trips. We have had a bowling
night; bike riding trip and we even have had people travel out to the most remote music
festival in the world. We have had some new trip leaders step up and they should be
congratulated on their efforts Andrew Paplaskaris, Nas Foscarini and Ian Fieldhouse. Not
to forget our tried and trusted trip leaders. For those of you who do not know who they are
Russell and Kerrie Chatfield, Barry Walker, Neil Phillips, Peter Van Riel, Tony Jambu, Rod
Chapple, Fred Farugia, Ron & Carol Reed, Graham Halliburton, Ralph Longley, Peter Thomas,
Paul Hicks, Dave Howard and Laurie Finlay. Just to mention a few. If I have forgotten you I
am really sorry.
For those of you who like to know the numbers we had 15 day trips, 17 long weekends and
6 trips longer than a week for the year. This is from June 2018 until July 2019. Yes, I know
that there are not 17 long weekends in the year but there where multiple trips run over 4
days. A total of members that participated or lead a trip was 471.
For those of you who have joined the club recently and have done your various driving
training you can also run a trip. All you have to do is just ask somebody if you are unsure of
a location or how to get started. Just because you have been there a few times it is a great
feeling to share your experience with others.
The Muster for 2020 location has been found and will be announced at the September
meeting. So keep Easter free next year because it is a great event and is family orientated.
Thank you for your support.
