Kym & Wendy had previously arranged to meet us all at the totally recommended - Bushman's Rest Caravan Park at Culluleraine; this was due to the heavy rain making the original planned camp at Lock 9 to boggy. As arranged we meet Simon and Harold at Kerang Bakery for a well deserved coffee. After coffee, it's off to Swan Hill for lunch and a pleasant walk along the river bank. The Bushman's Rest is an excellent setting with an ample camp kitchen which allowed the group to mingle and get to know each other. Vehicle Details Triton Passenger Pajero Prado Passenger Very Old Patrol and according to the locals, early rains point to a promising season. Wednesday July 3rd After the morning pack up, a leisurely walk around Quorn including the iconic railway precinct finishing at Emily's Cafe', a set back into the past including a visit to the 'Down Stairs Mortuary'. After another well deserved coffee, it was off to Copley to fuel up the cars and fill up the group on the world famous (in Copley) Quantong Pies. Leaving Copley we drove towards Farina, stopping on route to view the original fence line on the old Ghan Rail. (See photo) Farina campground very crowded due to school holidays. Tuesday July 2nd We woke up to a spectacular sunrise over Lake Culluleraine followed by a lazy breakfast and pack up before heading off to Renmark. Having passed through quarantine we then could stock up on fruit & veg - and have a well deserved coffee. Next stop was Burra for lunch in the river parkland, and then headed to Wilmington, Melrose then to Quorn to overnight at the caravan park. The SA grain area we had driven through was freshly sown Thursday July 4th
