TRIP REPORTS miss it”. Well, this message must have been repeated over a 50km distance. He was right, you couldn’t miss it. I just wasn’t “just up the road”. We all had a break there where I noticed the Anderson plug to my Vista camper had been destroyed by rocks. No problems though as the solar was coping keeping the batteries charged. We got to Mungerannie late afternoon and got ourselves organised but the prospect of hot showers was irresistible for most of us with Jacob setting the pace as getting in first without even parking the “fire engine Hilux” in camp. Most of us had a counter meal that evening but for some of the group it was a very long wait for meals to arrive. This was the last night in the group for Ann and myself as we were heading off a bit earlier in the morning to make a run for home which was about 2700km down the road. (We overnighted at Morgan on the Murray). Cameron’s Corner Andrew Williams and Ann Thomson 404 Day 11 – Mungerannie to Marree A late start for some. This is where Andrew and Ann, Phil and Kerrie and Pete and Sue left us to go on their own short holiday. Breakfast was a big fry up of all the left over bacon and eggs before heading off to Marree. Arriving at Marree to get fuel and then the pub for a late lunch and beer. Then the Drovers Run Caravan Park for the night. Pizzas and nachos for dinner. This is where our journey ended. Time to start planning for my next adventure. If you want to ever run a trip to the Big Red Bash just let me know as I have all the trip notes. Ed Reddick 1623 Innamincka Hotel
