PRESIDENT’S REPORT
August 2018
Hello to all members and readers of this magazine
I will begin with the notice that I will not be standing for President of the club for the coming year. As much as I was looking forward to the opportunity of nominating and possibly serving as your President for at least another year, life situations have changed unexpectedly for me since taking on this role just over a year ago and I am no longer in a position to do this for another year. We are therefore in need of a new President for the club, along with a Treasurer and Vice President.
Welcome to all the new members that have recently joined. I urge you to get onboard with TeamApp so you can by well informed as to what is available and have access to more ‘members only’ club information.
To the existing members, if you haven’t renewed your membership for the 2018/2019 financial year, please pay before or at the start of this general meeting as your voting rights are currently suspended if you have not paid yet.
This August meeting is also the AGM. We will need nominations for 2018/2019 committee members. All committee positions are open but several of the current committee members will not be re-nominating so we have vacancies which need to be filled. Please refer to the Club ByLaws in TeamApp documents for descriptions of each role and talk to the current committee person or myself if you consider there is a possibility that you may be available. The National 4x4 show is on at the Melbourne showgrounds between 17th and 19th August. We will have a stand there so if you are not assisting at the stand, there is an opportunity to come along and gain some information, some discounts and say hello to whoever is on the stand at the time.
As this is my last President’s report, I would like to wish you all many enjoyable trips and events over the coming years and I hope that you put in as much as you can to the club so that you can benefit from as much as possible that is on offer.
