• Detailed positions vacant and filled for the 2018-29 year. Notice coming out
shortly. Can nominate for any position if interested and must be lodged prior to
AGM.

Presentation: Sharyn & Andy - High Country Huts
Both love the high country spending every second weekend and educate people to enjoy and
get involved. Established in 2003 and a not for profit organization their mission is to maintain
the huts on public land. A Code of Ethics is available for perusal. Their main goal is to be a
voice for the huts. Huts were built from mid 1800's onwards. Wallace Hut built in 1889 is the
oldest. My Terrible hut was rebuilt in 2016. Some 20@ huts on public land that require
ongoing maintenance otherwise they will disappear. Association has 230 financial members
and done 40,000 Facebook followers. They has a MOA with Parks Victoria. Detailed by
photos on the screen the huts from the different areas in the high country. 12 areas in
total. Huts are for shelter purposes only. Do not meet health standards. Various huts
maintained by a range of 4WD clubs. More volunteers required. Always ensure that you leave
wood and matches for the next visitors. Close doors and windows. Leave nothing but
footprints. Historical photos required if any available. Currently over a hundred years if
photographic history held. Quite a few books on the huts are available from various
sources. Association does not have a library.
Demonstration of TeamApp:
President Stuart Gay gave a detailed demonstration of TeamApp via an Android based smart
phone to show the members present of how easy it is to use and navigate.

Membership: 81 members and 3 guests. Presented two new member packs. 65%
renewals to date. Those who have not renewed please do so. Alan Sellars and Stuart Gay
both presented with a new badges with two trucks. 20 year membership presented to Geoff
and Dulcie Strahan.
