Other Observations –
BATTLE OF THE TRITON GLS PREMIUM OR GLS
TRITON – GLS OR GLS PREMIUM
Beware of the motor bonnet, you may find it heavy! As opposed to the
aluminium bonnet on a Pajero, the Triton’s steel bonnet is heavy and
there are no assisting gas struts. You will need strength to hold the
bonnet up with one hand while positioning the bonnet stay.
One other area to take into consideration is the operation of the winder
when lowering the spare tyre from under the rear tub. I found the
winder handle got very close to scuffing the duco. The spare tyre is in a
convenient location and easily accessed. Beware if you have been four
wheel driving as this ultimately will be a very dirty job.

Conclusion –
Now I know many readers always go straight to the end of the article to see the end results and final comments. If
you are reading this without reading the full article you will miss detailed explanation and clarification relevant to
the rationale behind testing the GLS and the GLS Premium Tritons.
To summarise, I was extremely impressed with the overall package that the Mitsubishi Triton provides – especially
at the current price including 7 year warranty and a bonus $1,500 in genuine accessories. (As of July 2020).
The Triton GLS Drive away price - $46,290 and the GLS Premium - $50,290.
Spacious interior, loads of technology (especially on the GLS Premium), excellent economy and more than
capable tow vehicle.
The big question - Is the GLS Premium worth the additional $4,000? Absolutely!
The additional upmarket inclusions such as the leather interior with electronic adjustable heated seats, multi
around monitor, premium paint, tube liner, nudge bar, sports bar (the list goes on) and much more, further
enhances the great value that the Mitsubishi Triton GLS Premium provides.
