Annual Report 2019-2020
Ok. So 2020 is not our best year yet. But it hasn’t been all bad. There’s been a lot of positive work coming out of the
committee this year. Working extra hard to make sure our members get value from their memberships.
So what have I done as editor?
Sponsorship
Details of our sponsorship packages were documented this year. This is available on Wild Apricot. I urge you all to
look at this and share it around. We welcome AOR & Autophix to our list of sponsors this year. And we continue to
maintain strong relationships with existing sponsors.
Exceed Magazine
I’ve done what I can to give the magazine a fresh new look and feel. I am grateful to many members for their
contributions. I am grateful to members who arrange distribution. I am grateful to our sponsors for often providing
new ads to help freshen up the magazine. One area that I would like to see develop are the member classifieds. I
really encourage members to take advantage of this magazine to promote business and items for sale.
Social Media – Facebook Group
Many of you would be familiar with our Facebook group. This is a private group open to all members of our club and
we get a lot of great content. I really encourage members to join up if they haven’t already. All new requests now
have to answer a series of questions in order to validate membership. It’s growing into a great page. See you there.
Social Media – Facebook Page
For a number of reasons, we made the decision this year to create a FB page that would be open to the public. This
is a great way to promote our club and share some of the great things we do. We already have over 500 members
and this continues to grow daily. Please check it out and hit the ‘Like’ button if you haven’t already.
Social Media – You Tube
A few of us have been working hard to revive and promote the club’s You Tube channel. We’ve had several
contributions from members and of course, Ed Reddick keeps us well entertained with his trip and social reports. The
‘Show Us Your Paj’ series is getting good interest from both members and public. The number of subscribers to this
page has more than doubled over the last 6 months to around 180 subscribers. I really encourage members to check
out our channel and subscribe for future videos. Hit the bell button to make sure nothing is missed. We really need
regular content to this page so please chat to me if you have any contributions or would like to submit your own
‘Show Us Your Paj Video”. It’s not as hard as you think. And other members can help if needed.
