The Year in Retrospect
2019-2020 was another busy year for Membership; across the year we saw:

278 members renew.
38 new members join the club.
24 temporary members joining club trips.
11 members achieved 10 years membership recognitions
4 members achieved 20 years membership recognitions: and
3 members achieved 30 years membership recognition
1 Life Memberships bestowed
2 members achieved a truck for their badge in recognition of their contributions to members and the club in
leading trips.
Further to the general membership administration outlined above, several other Membership related initiatives were
implemented, all predominantly driven in response to member feedback.
In late 2019, we implemented a change to the Member Badge giving more prominence to the member’s name, then in
early 2020, the recommendations of the Temporary Membership review team were implemented. The changes
introduced further enhancements to make Temporary Membership easier for members to bring family and friends
along on Club trips.
I was also involved with supporting the Club’s policy review and in the implementation of the Wild Apricot Membership
Management program as they related to Membership. Both significant projects for the Club.
It has been a pleasure participating in Club activities, working with new and existing members, the Policy Review,
Temporary Membership, and Wild Apricot project teams and the committee over the past year. Thank you all.
