Well hasn’t it been an exciting year at Trip Social Central? We’ve had fire. We’ve had floods. But the icing on the cake
is Covid-19. Nevertheless, the show must go on.
It is with great regret that he Muster had to be cancelled for this year. But rest assured, we will be back again.
Even though a lot of trips never came to pass, many of the bigger trips have been postponed to 2021. Thankfully, we
did have a short time out of lockdown giving a few lucky people the chance to enjoy trips out with fellow members.
It’s been great this year to see some new trip leaders putting their trip planning course to good use courtesy of the
DTU. A big thank you to the new leaders for doing a great job under trying circumstances. A big thank you also to our
long standing trip leaders for putting new trips together.
As I write this, we are once again in lockdown. This is a good time for members to organise a trip for when we can go
out and enjoy each other’s company again.
Apologies to the new members that have come on board for the lack of trip opportunities. Rest assured there are
usually more trips that what we are seeing and once we get through this challenging period, there will be more trips
available for you to attend. Keep your eyes and emails open on Wild Apricot.
Mentioning Wild Apricot, I have found the easiest way to get notifications and be able to get on a trip quickly is to have
an email alert that you can get on your smart phone. I find google works well for me.
Here at Trip Social Central, I will be renominating again for the position. Thanks for putting up with me over the past
