President: The Committee will be holding its annual strategy day in early February 2019.
We will be discussing longer term opportunities and threats for the Club, looking carefully for
any adverse signs ahead, and positioning us for growth and success in the future. Members
were invited to list suggestions of what needs to be retained, and what needs to change, for
the Committee to discuss. A collection box for ideas will be at the next meeting.
Membership : George Malimonenko was awarded his 20-year badge with the club.
Trip & Social : Ed mentioned the trips held over recent months. There are a series of trips
planned for January 2019 and some people starting their planning for later next year. He
thanked trip leaders and re-affirmed his offer of support for those wishing to lead their first
trip.
Magazine: There has been feedback from Members regarding the magazine; this touched
on preferences for digital copies, and questions as to why it was available on Facebook and
not TeamApp. We need to address these communication issues.
Driver Training : A certified chainsaw course will be run March 23 rd and 24 th 2019.
All future courses can be found on the DTU website and in the Exceed magazine.
Shop : Paul gave a presentation of the newer items available through the Club shop, and
then sold these during the supper break.
4WD Vic: The President spoke about the Insurance that comes with Pajero Club
membership and said that details were available as a PDF document.
Pajero Challenge 2019: Alberto Pamintuan announced that the challenge will be running
this year and listed the key sponsors for this year. They are still looking for volunteers to help
with the event and it would be greatly appreciated that if you can help.
Clubman Award: Peter Symons and Janine Harron were given Clubman Awards for
assisting two fellow members when they broke down on a trip, even going as far as helping
transport them and their belongings back home at the end of the trip.
Ironbark Award: Alan Sellars was awarded the 2018 Ironbark Award for his sustained
contribution to the Club at events and shows. Alan also helps with maintaining huts around
the high country and is one of the first persons to offer a helping hand.
