LOCATION/DESCRIPTION:Travel via Gunbarrel Hwy to Wiluna then north up the Canning Stock Route with lots of one and two night stops . Visit Wolfe Creek crater and return via the Tanami desert track to Alice Springs, then back to Melbourne.
The trip is flexible and open to discussion but is designed to be no more than 32 – 33 days for the trip leader (others may wish to make variations to the route and time to suit themselves ?). Interested parties will be involved in meetings to finalise the itinerary at the trip leaders house.

IF THIS IS AN OVERNIGHT ACTIVITY PROVIDE DETAILS:For the ease of travel and given time restraints to and from the “Centre” I will be "Motel-ing it but that will be optional. There will be plenty of setting up and breaking down camps once we leave the bitumen. Some cash will be need to be carried in case of emergency as the “outback” can be unreliable with credit facilities, but should be ok.
No trailers/campers as there is a section of the CSR that has a ban ! (apparently from well 1 to well 9)
COSTS – ACCOMMODATION / CAMPING:Unknown at this stage. Permits to be arranged for the Canning Stock Route and Central lands – to be arranged by each vehicle prior to departure.
