Friday 29 September Dalhousie Springs to Lambert Centre

After a pleasant mornings swim had by all off to Mt Dare we went for fuel and to reassess due to the rain. Our original plan was to go down to Oodnadatta but these things can change when you are out here. It was decided that we continue on and camp overnight at the Lambert Centre. We had a fantastic pizza night and a light show as well. Thanks Alan Sellars for the pizza oven.

Saturday 30 September Lambert Centre to Coober Pedy

After some rather heavy showers over night the camp site was a little bit flooded. Out we went and on to Kulgera for some morning tea. Who would have thought that you could get Chiko Rolls out here, but you can. The plan from here was to try and get to watch the first half of the Grand Final at Marla. We succeeded. Not just that there was free food at the Roadhouse. After watch the first half, Phil was pretty happy. After hitting the black stuff Nicks car decided 180km from Coober Pedy, that I am not going anymore with out a lift. Being that accommodation had been booked most of the crew decided to continue on to Coober Pedy. Myself, John and Paddy thought that we would stay with Nick and Anna and play golf on the Sturt Highway and have fivesies at Nicks pop up coffee shop with smoked salmon. We all finally made it to Coober Pedy for the night, but Nick and Anna got spend 2 each days there. Oh what joy. If you want to know anything about Coober Pedy, just at Nick and Anna.

This is the end of the trip. I must say this was one of my most enjoyable trips I have had across the Simpson to date.
