I have fitted the Lockup – mate recently to my vehicle and got to do some testing over the Australia Day weekend towing my camper trailer to the High Country with fantastic results. Also got to do some good hill climbs with the Lockup –mate engaged and watched the transmission temps stay well below what typically they would rise to without it locked. Simply if you tow ,this is basically a must to keep your transmission cool by being locked more often. Also there will be fuel savings by not having the torque converter slipping as often as what it does in standard form.
