This trip completes the Triple Crown – the Oodnadatta, Birdsville & Strzelecki Tracks, and we pick up the Jewels to go with the crown having done Poeppel’s Corner, and achieving the 3-Corners, visiting Haddon & Cameron’s on this trip. Day 1: Depart Marree. Travel along the Strzelecki Track to Montecollina Bore (302km). Day 2: Travel Innamincka (220km). TBC camp on Common or Cullyamurra. Day 3: Sightseeing around Innamincka. Maybe a bit of fishing. Pub dinner Day 4: To Cadelga Outstation. Via Cordillo Downs & woolshed – - bush camp at Cadelga (256km) Day 5: To the Dig Tree camp grounds. Travel via Dion’s Lookout & Haddon’s Corner (416km) Day 6: To Tibooburra (ALCCG Camp grounds) taking in Cameron’s Corner, the last Jewel. (406km). Day 7: To Silverton via Milparinka & Broken Hill. (355km). Stay Penrose Park, Silverton Day 8: Around Silverton & Broken Hill – Sights of Silverton, Mundi Mundi sunset, Silverton Pub, Silverton underground mine, sights of Broken Hill. Day 9: Overnight near Ivanhoe (waiting to hear from Barwonnie Station to confirm we can stay there). (400km) Day 10: Head for home via Denni, Echuca (550+km) – big day but achievable. MEETING ADDRESS: Head off from the Drover’s Rest (our overnight camp) – 8:30am for 9:00. People have the option of storing campers & vans at the Drover’s Rest during the Simpson Crossings, FREE, but if you want to trickle power that will be $5/day.
