MEMBER TRIP REPORT
The tracks weren ’ t much different , it was slow going to Bindaree hut as the track up was tight and there was little space to safely pull off the track to let people pass , however , it was something most of us had not seen before and we were glad we took the time to check it out ! Following this we made our way around the corner to Bindaree Falls , for those that chose to make the walk it was great to see . We then made our way through Monument track which was a fun little climb towards Craigs Hut . Having never been before , I was pleasantly surprised at just how good the view is and despite the tracks being a little busier than they normally may be , it was still awesome to see .
As it had taken us a little longer than planned to get to Craigs Hut , we decided it was best to make our way straight back to camp , so we headed for the bitumen , aired up and were back at camp around 5:45 , just in time for those who had the earlier sitting of the communal dinner to head over and eat with the rest of the group . It was a great day spent exploring the Howqua Hills area and surrounds . Thanks to Russell Chatfield for assisting in the planning and navigation of the trip .
