Grew up on a farm with 3 brothers, and have been using chainsaws for the last 40 years plus. However, when I come to think about it, I was never ‘shown’ how to use a chainsaw correctly. We just grabbed it and used it. The course highlighted to me a lot of my bad chainsaw habits. Eg. Never using the chain break & use off PPE. When cutting firewood in the future, I will approach the task from a whole new perspective. Having respect for the chainsaw’s dangers and its capabilities. To anyone that uses a chainsaw, I would highly recommend doing the course. You may think you know it all. I can assure you, you don’t !
