MEMBER TRIP REPORT

We turned off the main road onto Andersons Road and followed the Blue Range Trail which has been published by Parks Victoria . Because we had some rain in the weeks leading up to our trip this track was great fun . We had lots of muddy tracks , puddles , and a bit of slipping and sliding . This track is quite hilly so we also had some fun getting up and down steep terrain . For anyone who thought this was going to be a Mickey Mouse drive , this section proved them wrong !
Some of the hills and muddy tracks
Waiting for everyone to make it through a tricky section
Once we had finished the Blue Range Trail we went back to Dyers Picnic Ground for lunch . Some areas of the park are still closed because of bushfire damage so the picnic ground has recently been opened up for camping . Some of us already have plans to come back here for a weekend of camping and exploring .
After lunch we headed up Ash Landing Road which took us out of Bunyip State Park and into Kurth Kiln Regional Park . Most members had not been to Kurth Kiln before so this was a nice introduction for everyone . In particular , most people hadn ' t seen the campgrounds at Kurth Kiln before . The Watkins Family who were leading the trip have done lots of camping here so we did a bit of a tour of the campgrounds before we headed to the historic kiln . We all had a look around the kiln then came back to the picnic area for a shared afternoon tea .
Everyone enjoyed their day and we look forward to having more women ' s trips in the future and more trips to Bunyip State Park and Kurth Kiln Regional Park .
