We then made our way to Tony’s ‘not so secret’ swimming hole for a lunch stop and a much needed cool down in the water. After everyone had cooled off, we made our way into Dargo to grab an ice cream and some fuel and then it was back to camp for our communal cook up. After everyone had eaten we sat around the campfire and were treated to some lovely music (guitar and violin) and some delicious bread with butter and jam made by Trevor which was a nice little treat to finish of the day.

Jeannie and I joined PVR as our trip leader for the day. Accompanied by Matt, Cynthia, Adam, Carla, Cassie, Daniel, Mel, Charlotte, Issy, Ollie, Rob, Curtis, Jo, Michael, Patty, Andy, Martin and Veronica. For Jeannie and I the day started infinitely better than that of the day before, as yesterday we picked up a rock behind the rotor and was accompanied by a lovely screeching noise for the entire day of driving. Thankfully we had Glen Thomas to the rescue at camp who was able to find the cause of the issue and put the Pajero back together for another day on the tracks. Thanks again!

Nicely polished rock that was found behind my rotor.

We first made our way to Blue Rag to take in the spectacular views on what was a nice and clear morning. It was interesting to see the difference in landscape after my first time to the High Country two years ago. With the destruction of of the bushfires evident in what was once green now replaced with black and scorched earth. The tracks were steep, dusty and shaley but no big challenges, which made for a nice day of driving.
