MINUTES - PAJERO CLUB GENERAL MEETING December 18 th , 2019 Held at Glen Waverley Bowls Club Opened by President Neil Phillips: 7:30pm Welcomed members, new and old and visitors, then explained the meeting format. Talks: Neil gave an outline of the meeting. Special Milestones for the evening started with Neil introducing Ross Wines to give a brief history about Helen and Fred Farrugia and their involvement in the club and were to receive their 30 year award. Alan Sellars gave a brief history of the work Brian and Liz McCarthy have contributed over the years to be awarded the Iron Bark Award. Neil then thanked Bill Mead for the organisation of getting the small shield made and painted and also the engraving of the name plate on the big shield. Neil then announced a Life Membership to be given to John and Robyn Burke. Laurie Finlay gave a detailed history of their contribution to the club. Club headquarters opportunity was a non event. The Committee had voted for it not to be pursued. 2019 Policies. The Sub-Committee has presented them to the Committee. The final document has been out on TeamApp. December General Meeting Acceptance of November minutes November Minutes: Proposed by Alan Sellars, Seconded by Gordon Ainslie; accepted. Apologies: Apologies were shown on screen and listed in members’ sign-in book. Reports: Neil thanked all members and committees for their attendance and work during the year. A slide was shown to the members on Supporting our Communities. IT Transformation 2020: Terry reported that the digital transformation is still a work in progress. He also advised that the Annual Strategy meeting will be held in February 202 and Grant Cavanagh will be the Moderator. Membership: Virginia welcomed new members Bill and Laurel Ross. Brian and Sue Hay were presented with their 10 year badges. Temporary membership is finalised in Policy but it is the implementation Virginia is working through. The size and printing of names on badges is still being looked at. Suggestions still wanted re this. Trip and Social: Ed advised that 1 st Class Electric Services were our sponsors for the night.
