Congratulations Brian and Liz McCarthy (#676)
A message from Brian and Liz McCarthy:
Thank You Pajero Club Members. We were
completely taken by surprise when we heard
that we were to be presented with the Club
Ironbark Award for 2019.
We feel very honoured to be the recipients of
this prestigious award and would like to say
thank you to everyone.
Over the past 24 years we have run and
participated in many club activities and have
enjoyed the friendships we have made.
Brian and Liz McCarthy (#676
It was wonderful to see that Liz and Brian McCarthy have been acknowledged for the contribution
they have made over the past 20 years. They have both quietly “flown under the radar” but have
been a magnificent help in all areas of the club.
Over the years, both Brian and Liz’s contributions include but are not limited to:
Housing the RRG equipment for a number of years, making sure the equipment was in
good condition when needed. Then organising for the equipment to be donated, and
delivered to Blaze Aid.
Magazine collation and distribution.
Significant contributions towards fire and floods clean up weekends organised by the
RRG.
Representing the Pajero Club at various shows & expos.
Collection of the exceed magazine each month and sits at the front table to hand out to
members as they arrive.
Magazine collation and distribution.
Volunteering at many Mobile Landcare weekends, which included planting trees,
cleaning up weeds, removal of car wrecks in tricky areas of bush. Also assisting in
rebuilding the amenities at the Ada River Picnic site.
Involved in the tree planting Fred Farrugia organises each year.
Each year Brian gives away tickets to Pajero Club members for the Camping and Caravan
shows.
