Most Impervious Surfaces Analyzed at Block Level
Areas with the highest concentration of impervious surfaces analyzed at the block level in Springfield are shown in Figure 6 and 7 below . The color-coded map highlights regions characterized by extensive coverage of nonpermeable materials such as pavement , buildings , and concrete , indicating significant imperviousness . These areas , shown in darker shades , are associated with a range of environmental challenges and implications .
