Least Plantable Space
Figures 11 and 12 illustrate the areas with the lowest availability of plantable space in Springfield , highlighting regions that present challenges for tree planting and green infrastructure development . The map depicts areas with limited land and unsuitable conditions for the establishment and growth of trees , vegetation , and other green elements . These areas , represented by lighter shades on the map , pose constraints to expanding tree canopy cover and may require innovative approaches to overcome the limitations .
