Brena Lindsay is 15 years old. She’s aspiring to be a child-psychologist.
“Children go through the worst things” She has first-hand knowledge of how kids can be traumatized. Since she knows how kids are, she wants to help.
She has been accepted into the Honoree and Scholar and will be representing Roxborough High School and she’s also being represented by the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania at the Congress of Future Medical Leaders, February 14th-16th 2014 in Washington DC. She loves talking and listening to other people. She won’t cut you off and she’ll listen from your point of view on things. She can keep a secret. Math became one of her favorite subjects after struggling for a little time and then working her way up to an A. Her back up plan for a career is to be a Registered Nurse.
“Mind your business, stay out of people’s faces- you don’t belong there. Be yourself at all times. Do what you want, not what people tell you to. Don’t depend on anyone. Think big.”
Brena makes a habit to help who she can. However if you don’t want to tell her something, she won’t press you. She cares. And she won’t let you do all her work for her. She’ll learn how to do it so she can keep doing it-on her own.
Because of her caring nature, she would like to be a nurse and could pull It off. But her first and foremost career is to give the little ones a chance.
“I look at everyone as an equal” Growing up, she has pride in her family. But the main person she loves and will always look out for, is her mom. She also wants to prove that she WILL be something. She makes people eat the words that were supposed to make her give up.
