In this way, he’s like your average good teen. But what makes him special is that he’s considered “potentially gifted” This is a highly good thing. He actually wants to expand his gifts more. Two of his gifts are the art of dance. “I’ve been dancing since I was four and whenever my mom played music, I’d dance. I’ve been told, it’s a gift from God.” He now participates in different competitions.
Like any teen, he has hobbies, and favorites. He even plans to get a job. He wants to work at Papa John’s. His favorite TV shows are: Real Husbands of Hollywood, Love and Hip-Hop and Jersey Shore. His favorite music genres are: Hip Hop, Rap, and R&B. His favorite artists are: Lil Wayne, Drake, Kendrick Lamar, Rich Homie Quan, Trey Songz, Chief Keef and Lil Duck.
His major while in college will be Criminal Justice. He also plans to play football. His chosen career in life is football. He’s going to be a free agent or simply go to the NFL. His whole name isn’t Daequan Williams either, but Daequan James Williams. He plans on adding Carter to it. Daequan James Carter Williams. “Doesn’t that have a ring to it?”
This is just a peek of Daequan’s life. He’s not famous nor is he extra dull.
He’s just him. Like any teen, he has secrets, and well, a life. If you want to know more about it, get to know him. Be his friend. Be your normal self. “I want to just enjoy life. Graduating high school means freedom. You are grown now. And you can do what you want to. I want to work.”
He wants to be remembered for being an intelligent, well mannered, young man who is “potentially gifted”.
