EW – Olympia is known for its heritage halls, but you’ re also introducing new, flexible spaces like the ICC. How does that combination support today’ s exhibition organisers? Olympia’ s heritage halls are a huge part of our appeal, and we’ re committed to preserving that history. At the same time, today’ s exhibitions demand flexibility, scalability, and modern infrastructure. London’ s newest International Convention Centre, the ICC( opening in 2026), alongside our reimagined halls, gives organisers the best of both worlds: unique spaces that carry history and prestige, combined with modern, purpose-built environments that allow creativity to flourish. For the first time, organisers can access world-class facilities internally from any of our interconnected spaces. |
EW – Exhibitions are clearly critical to Olympia’ s identity. How do you see their role evolving as the venue continues its transformation? Exhibitions will always be our foundation, but I think their role is expanding. With the new destination, exhibitions won’ t sit in isolation; they’ ll be part of a broader ecosystem of experiences. That could mean more opportunities for crossover with cultural audiences, or for exhibitors to engage clients outside the show floor in new ways. It also means Olympia can attract an even wider mix of events, keeping exhibitions at the centre but giving them fresh energy and new audiences. The transformation is about ensuring exhibitions don’ t just continue here, they evolve and grow for decades to come. |

EW – Finally, what excites you most about the future of exhibitions at Olympia? For me, it’ s the chance to build on our legacy while creating something entirely new. We’ re protecting the heritage that makes Olympia so special, while investing in state-of-the-art facilities and a destination that will redefine what an exhibition experience can be. The idea that an organiser can host their event in a historic venue, while their delegates stay on-site in acclaimed three and four-star hotels, and network over dinner or a show next door, all without leaving Olympia, is hugely exciting. It’ s a complete reimagining of what exhibitions can achieve, and I can’ t wait to see how our organisers, exhibitors and visitors make the most of it. EW |
