What are the unique specifics of working in this sector in India and are you also working on music events outside of the country? India has evolved significantly as a destination for international live entertainment. Global touring artists now view India as an important stop on their world tours, and the scale of productions continues to increase.
At the same time, logistics in India requires close coordination with multiple stakeholders, including customs authorities, airports, venue operators, production companies and government agencies. Every venue presents unique operational requirements from access routes and installation schedules to local regulations and infrastructure.
While our primary expertise is supporting international productions coming into India, our global logistics network also enables us to coordinate international cargo movements through trusted overseas partners whenever required. Live entertainment logistics has become an increasingly global business where seamless cross-border coordination is essential.
How big a part of your overall business is the non-exhibition work now for RE Rogers? Exhibitions continue to remain a core part of our business and an area where we have built decades of expertise. However, over the years we have consciously diversified into specialised logistics segments including motorsports, live entertainment, sporting events, defence, project cargo and other time-critical industries. This diversification allows us to apply the same capabilities that define exhibition logistics precision planning, international coordination, customs expertise and deadlinedriven execution to a broader range of complex projects. Each sector strengthens the other by expanding our operational knowledge and technical

capabilities, while ensuring we remain agile in serving a wide spectrum of specialised industries.
What single bit of new legislation would make your music event work easier? One area that could significantly improve operational efficiency is the introduction of a more streamlined framework for the temporary import and re-export of professional event equipment.
International touring productions often travel with specialised sound systems, lighting equipment, stage components and technical infrastructure that remain in the country only for the duration of an event. Simplified, digitally integrated procedures for temporary imports while maintaining the necessary regulatory oversight – would reduce processing time, improve predictability and further strengthen India ' s attractiveness as a destination for global live events.
Who was the most interesting musician you have met in this line of work? It is genuinely difficult to choose just one because every international artist and production brings a different experience and perspective. Over the years, we have had the privilege of supporting concerts for some of the world ' s biggest names, each with their own style of working and production requirements.
If we had to mention a few, Yanni, Bryan Adams, Travis Scott, Justin Biber and Shakira certainly stand out. While our interactions are naturally focused on ensuring smooth logistics and operational execution, what is most impressive is witnessing the professionalism, discipline and attention to detail that goes into delivering world-class live performances. It is a reminder that behind every successful concert is the collective effort of hundreds of

How has India ' s live entertainment industry evolved from a logistics perspective over the past two decades? India ' s live entertainment landscape has undergone a remarkable transformation. Two decades ago, international concerts were relatively infrequent and involved considerable operational uncertainty. Today, India regularly hosts global tours and largescale music festivals supported by stronger infrastructure, experienced production partners and specialised logistics providers.
This evolution reflects the maturity of the entire ecosystem. Logistics is no longer viewed simply as transportation, it has become an integral part of event planning and execution. As India continues to attract larger international productions, the demand for specialised logistics expertise will only grow, further strengthening the country ' s ability to host world-class live entertainment experiences with confidence.
