Connect Marketplace, a key international trade show in the MICE tourism sector, also came to Hong Kong for the first time in March 2025, creating an invaluable networking and business development platform for 4,000 industry professionals and more than 60 exhibitors from over 30 countries and regions in March. This July, Informa Markets launched Mobility Tech Asia and The Battery Show Asia 2025 in Asia for the first time. Another notable Hong Kong debut will be Airspace Asia Pacific 2025, slated for December 2025. Organised by the Civil Air Navigation Services Organisation, the event will feature an extensive exhibition floor showcasing the latest advancements in air traffic flow management, automation and next-gen aviation technologies.
World-class infrastructure gearing up for thriving exhibition scene The vibrancy of Hong Kong’ s exhibition scene is also reflected by the robust results and expansion of the city’ s flagship convention centres – Hong Kong Convention and Exhibition Centre( HKCEC) and AsiaWorld-Expo( AWE).
The HKCEC has already achieved a full recovery in 2024 when 812 events were held, and it is the first MICE venue in Hong Kong accredited with the Muslim Gold Certification.
Ms Monica Lee-Müller, managing director of Hong Kong Convention and Exhibition Centre( Management) Limited(“ HML”) says:“ Exhibitions continue to be one of the key drivers of Hong Kong’ s mega events economy. And the presence of Muslim exhibitors, buyers and visitors has grown notably. To enhance the experience of our guests, we have introduced a prayer room and other Muslim-friendly facilities, making it the first convention and exhibition centre to achieve the highest-level Gold Certification.” There are, additionally, over 190 Muslim-friendly dining outlets in the city.
