Conference at the Queen Sirikit National Convention Center( QSNCC) reinforced Bangkok’ s position as a leading hub for business events – while spotlighting a venue that continues to play a defining role in elevating Thailand’ s MICE industry on the global stage.
Held on 5 – 6 March and hosted by the Thailand Convention and Exhibition Bureau, the conference brought together over 260 industry leaders, a return to QSNCC – now reintroduced in its fully redeveloped form, reflecting both its legacy and its evolution into a modern, world-class venue.

What the UFI conference meant As one of the region’ s key industry gatherings, the conference explored major trends shaping the exhibition sector – from global trade shifts and supply chain realignment to technological innovation and evolving client expectations.
Mark Cochrane, UFI Regional Director-Asia Pacific, underscored Thailand’ s strategic importance:
“ Thailand is one of the largest and most dynamic exhibition markets in Southeast Asia. It’ s an important hub for both business events and trade, and this conference was an excellent platform to reinforce that positioning with key industry leaders.”
Thailand’ s continued role in hosting major UFI events, including the Global Congress in 2019, further reflects sustained international confidence in both the destination and venues such as QSNCC.
A venue born of global ambition Originally developed to host the World Bank Group and IMF Annual Meetings 1991, QSNCC was Thailand’ s first purpose-built international convention centre – embedding global standards into its foundation.
Following a major redevelopment completed in 2022, the venue has been redefined with expanded capacity, upgraded infrastructure, and enhanced flexibility to meet the evolving demands of international events.
“ QSNCC was completely redeveloped said Cochrane.“ This was one of the key reasons why UFI selected Bangkok and QSNCC. It’ s a world-class venue in one of Asia’ s most important exhibition cities.”
Today, QSNCC represents a new generation of convention venues – where design, technology, and operational expertise come together to deliver seamless, large-scale international events.
Scale, accessibility, and sustainability With over 300,000 sqm of total space and 78,500 sqm of event area, QSNCC offers the scale and versatility to support a wide range of event formats. Direct MRT access and
