Mapping the event future to provide clarity and data for informed action

Map Your Show( MYS) is an event SaaS platform providing organisers with solutions to generate revenue, visitor engagement and clear exhibitor ROI. The company was started 20 years ago initially helping a large US-based exhibition with their floorplan management. From a staff of four, MYS has blossomed into a business serving large and medium-scale events in Europe, Australia, the Middle East and the US. EW caught up with Don Kline, CEO, to hear more about the MYS journey to offer pain point solutions to the industry.

T inception, Ohio-based Map Your Show’ s focus was on delivering real‐time, interactive floorplan updates. Since then, CEO Don Kline tells us, capabilities have expanded significantly. MYS now offers a comprehensive suite of event technology solutions, and is innovating at pace to meet the evolving needs of organisers, exhibitors, and attendees.

The latest floorplan updates include new walkable directions that are integrated into MYS Connected and the directions work like Google Maps route planner, providing visitors with turn-by-turn directions at events.
“ What excites me most is the central role of events, conferences, and large‐scale trade shows in the industries they serve. Leading a business that supports the companies shaping those markets is a tremendous
motivator. We have been able to impact sectors including health, agriculture, technology, and almost every sector imaginable. At one point, we even supported a manure industry event in the US, which perfectly illustrates how uniquely varied and influential this industry can be.
“ The people who run events make the industries they serve stronger. They build connections, drive business, and create platforms where ideas and expertise can flourish,” says Kline.

portals, event apps and a networking solution, digital rebooking tech, as well as other tools to help exhibitors and organisers and 2025 was a busy year with the launch of MYS Insights and MYS Sales Accelerator products.
“ In mid 2024, we recognised that a new wave of powerful technology was emerging, and our early R & D efforts quickly demonstrated just how transformative these tools, especially LLMs, would become,” explains Kline.“ Their rapid advancement continues to open up opportunities for both internal improvements and entirely new product lines. Our earliest work on Sales Accelerator made it clear that we were building something truly game‐changing for the industry.”
While leveraging AI to develop intelligent software that supports the event ecosystem, Kline says MYS continues to refine its floorplan technology to make it easier for organisers, more effective for exhibitors, and the most intuitive for visitors.“ We’ ve also built an all‐in‐one event planner that streamlines networking, scheduling, lead generation and data collection.”
He adds that analysis of the extensive data captured across their events, has meant MYS has developed a churn predictor that identifies, with 75 % accuracy, the likelihood of an exhibitor returning.“ This enables more targeted and proactive rebooking strategies,” says Kline.
“ Our On‐Platform Advertising and Sales Accelerator tools provide organisers with simple, effective ways to drive an additional 10 – 15 % in revenue. We can also manage these programmes as a profit‐share service.
“ This year, we launched MYS Insights, Sales Accelerator, an enhanced floorplan, walkable directions, and MYS Connected. As an R & D‐led organisation, everything we build is shaped by direct organiser feedback, which is a key reason our retention rate remains above 90 % annually,” Kline adds.
