Evanescence is currently on an "extended break" and Amy Lee, Evanescence's frontwoman, said in an interview with Scuzz, "I don't know what's next". Lee mentioned that maybe she might try something different- something that might not be Evanescence. She stated she was "100% open-minded" and that she was feeling good about the future. Lee is influenced by all kinds of music, such as: folk, classical, rock, alternative, and many more. You can hear parts of this music in Evanescence but Lee said she wants to try something else. She mentioned that she was into electro-pop during the self-titled album era. Also, now that Amy can play the harp the new music might have more of that included. Evanescence currently haven't announced any plans of a new record or how long it's going to take.
